Sunday, October 12 promptly at 8:15 PM, join us at Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center for a special, flash marionette performance – BIFF Offscreen: The Stingy Tailor!
Vít Hořejš performs a one-man show of Czech fairy tales (in English) replete with kings, clever village maidens, witches and spirits. His marionettes speak in a dozen voices, dance, play violin, swim and fly.
Sunday night’s program features one of his favorite tales, “The Stingy Tailor”, in which a proud and stingy tailor is taught a lesson by the water goblin “Vodnik”.
An RSVP is required in order to attend this free event, and audience members will be signed up on a first come, first served basis.
If you also buy a ticket to the related screening of WOODEN HEARTS immediately following at Hallwalls at 8:30 PM and provide proof at the door – in BIFF's spirit of un-stinginess, we'll provide one (1) beer or water at the bar for you to join us in raising our glasses to Vodnik, Vit, Onur, Bonnie, and Michael!
