The only way a tree can survive a rainpour is with strong roots.

That night, Esther has a disturbing encounter with one of her patients. Esther and Laya lead lives out of sync with their times, one through her profession and the other through her age. "Mensch" is a twenty-four-hour immersion into the lives of these two women; it's a story of transmission and selflessness.
