Rebecca, a gig-economy housekeeper, drifts through the lives of countless people. She scrubs and sanitizes their homes, moving wordlessly through their private spaces. And she’s recording them. She listens to the most intimate details of their lives, filling an emptiness within her. Exploring rage while listening to a married couple fighting; sadness hearing a mother mourning the loss of a child. But the tapes get stale, Rebecca slips back into the unfeeling void. Until a new client, Martin, whose dark life is just as secretive as her own, intrigues her. As Rebecca pries into Martin’s secret life, she begins to develop a disturbing bond with him, culminating in a shocking act of violence.
