Adapted from Mirza Waheed’s beloved novel The Collaborator, Line of Control unfolds in 1993 Kashmir, where the teenage son of a village headman watches his closest friends disappear, believed to have crossed into Pakistan to join the insurgency. He stays behind, searching for news of them while holding on to his relationship with Asma.

Captain Kadian of the Indian Army forces him into a valley of corpses to collect identification cards and weapons. To the captain, the dead are a source of intelligence. To the boy, each body might be a friend.

As Kadian tightens his hold and his village brands him a collaborator, the weapons he finds among the dead seem to offer a path to redemption. But using one may cost him the conscience he is trying to preserve.
