Mohawk Place is a legendary, long-running independent music venue and dive bar – Buffalo’s stage for underground, metal, punk, indie, experimental, and everything too loud for anywhere else. Doors are open to all, no pretense, and tickets are always available at the door unless the website says otherwise.

Housed in a historic building constructed in 1895 (originally a turn-of-the-century gin mill), Mohawk Place first opened its doors in 1990 as a blues and rockabilly venue. The venue recently reopening under new management after new ownership saved it from the wrecking ball, made substantial upgrades, and reimagined it as a community-driven nonprofit.
