This panel focuses on two regional spotlights in BIFF's 20th Anniversary Festival – HUMBOLDT USA, a film that traces the countless places across the US that still bear the name of the now largely forgotten, visionary naturalist Alexander von Humboldt; and HUMBOLDT, a film about Humboldt Parkway, a once beloved feature of Buffalo until it was bulldozed in the 1960s, and community efforts to restore it. Panelists will discuss their films, Humboldt, Humboldt Parkway, the issues at stake for our local communities here, the production process, creative exchanges, and more.
